Argument in Superior Court
Posted By Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C.
Jim Haggerty of HGSK presented oral argument before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in the claim of an individual seeking to recover the full amount of his damages for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. In that case, the plaintiff sustained injuries in an automobile accident. The insurer for the defendant contended that the injuries were not serious and that the limited tort threshold barred recovery. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff far in excess of the insurance limits of coverage. The insurance company appealed. Jim Haggerty of HGSK was retained to represent the individual in the Superior Court to collect all monies awarded by the jury. That matter remains pending before the Superior Court. Andrew Brown v. Trinidad, 396 EDA 2014.
