This is the highest rating the organization bestows, and we are proud to congratulate him on this achievement.
What You Need to Know About the Martindale-Hubbell Rating Process
Martindale-Hubbell has provided quality rating services since 1868. It rates attorneys and law firms in individual states, cities, and particular areas of practice. The Martindale-Hubbell award is recognized across the nation as an honest and thorough rating organization that provides clients with the tools to identify and hire attorneys who have a track record of success, as well as a dedication to client satisfaction.
In order to qualify for an AV Preeminent award, candidates must go through an extensive process. Martindale-Hubbell uses peer-review techniques to identify, nominate, and evaluate prospective attorneys. The peer review process is anonymous and lets recognized lawyers rate candidates on the basis of 5 factors.
Candidates will be judged on their:
- Legal knowledge
- Communication ability
- Analytical capabilities
- Judgment
- Legal experience
For each category, the voters will use a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) to rate each candidate. Not only will candidates be judged on their experience and abilities, but they will also be judged on their ethical standards. Only the attorneys who have demonstrated a commitment to the highest ethical standards may qualify for the top rating scores. Once the voting is complete, the organization will tally the numbers and declare the winners.
There are 3 categories of awards that Martindale-Hubbell grants. The first one is a Notable award, for strong ethical standards. The second is the Distinguished award, for a high level of professional achievement and respect. The third (and highest) award is the AV Preeminent award. Only attorneys who have the highest level of professional excellence and commitment to ethical standards may receive this award.
Attorney Haggerty has received the AV Preeminent award for 2018. His tireless representation of clients, dedication to integrity and honest communication, and extensive legal experience has rightly led to this achievement. Our firm is proud of his efforts, and we are excited to celebrate this accomplishment with him.
