HGSK Participates in Planning Committee for Amigos & Amigas LCH Dinner

Our firm, Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C., is thrilled to announce our participation in the Planning Committee for the Amigos and Amigas of LCH Dinner, an important cornerstone in our community. For over 40 years, La Comunidad Hispana has been at the forefront of providing much needed medical, dental, mental health, and legal assistance to the Hispanic Community in Kennett Square. This year, for the first time, they hosted a fundraising dinner meant to raise funds to support their ever-increasing programs such as GED courses, Citizenship classes, legal assistance in our current immigration political landscape, and mental health assistance to families dealing with the detainment and deportation of loved ones.

This impressive event highlighted the efforts of a pioneer supporter of LCH, Alice Moorhead, who over the years has spearheaded capital fundraising campaigns which were instrumental in buying the land on which LCH sits, as well as building the structures from which they operate. Our team at HGSK is a member of the Planning Committee for the event, in which we jointly raised over $15,000 before the dinner even took place, on November 4th. We are thrilled to announce we also raised an additional $35,000 that very evening.

As a result of our sincere dedication and commitment to contribution, we have been asked yet again to be a part of next year’s Planning Committee for the 2nd annual Amigos and Amigas dinner–which we proudly accept.
