Posted By Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C.
The Pennsylvania Link to Aging & Disability Resources is a partner with the Berks County Community Foundation. It provides educational materials to attorneys who serve clients in a variety of Social Security disability issues. Our firm is proud to be a part of this organization, and one of our associate attorneys, Michael Hagstotz, will be leading a presentation on October 17, 2017.
The presentation is titled, “Issues, Eligibility, Qualifications and Benefits Regarding SSI, SSD and More!” It will be held at the Berks County Community Foundation in Reading, Pennsylvania. Attorney Hagstotz focuses on personal injury, Social Security, and workers’ compensation cases, and has nearly 20 years of legal experience. As a cross-training opportunity, this presentation will provide information on a variety of aspects related to Social Security disability.
At the presentation, attorneys will be able to better understand:
- The types of benefits available through Social Security
- The difference between Social Security disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Eligibility requirements for Social Security disability
In addition, Attorney Hagstotz will explain whether or not family members are entitled to benefits of a disabled loved one. He will also discuss general tips for pursuing a successful outcome in a Social Security case, as well as interesting statistics regarding Social Security disability in the U.S.
