We Are Proud Partners of Women Against Abuse!

At Haggerty, Goldberg, Schleifer & Kupersmith, P.C., we understand how devastating domestic violence can be on a home, and that’s why we’ve made it our mission to fight back against this problem however possible. Most recently, this included partnering with Women Against Abuse and donating a gift of food and toys to help create a safe place for children to transition out of an abusive home and leave that terrifying life of uncertainty in the past!
We were touched by the story of a child named Evan, who came from a home where he and his family constantly lived in fear of abuse. This constant, looming threat often leads kids to anger, helplessness, and vulnerability, knowing the abuse and violence they face is completely out of their control. At our firm, we want to help get kids who suffer from this kind of a home environment away from their abusers and into a safe-haven that can transition them into a happier, abuse free environment.
Women Against Abuse provides such an environment, creating safe-haven places for these children to live as a kid, free from the stress and worry that they might be abused by a parent. Women Against Abuse provides all sorts of services at these safe-havens, including case managers and trauma-informed therapists who can help kids work through their past and move on with their life in a way that’s happy, healthy, and encourages them to grow and live.
Women Against Abuse hopes that Evan and every other child who comes through their program will only remember their time with them as a distant memory, and a happy one where they began their journey towards a safe and abuse-free future. While they can’t guarantee the outcome, they can certainly assist in empowering every person who comes through their program to have the best and brightest future, completely free and independent of abuse.
Our firm shares in this mission, and wants to help everyone who has been the victim of domestic violence and abuse find a safe haven that can not only get them out of their situation, but put them on the path to safety and prosperity in the future. For this reason, we are proud to have donated a gift of toys and food to their shelters, knowing that they’ll be put to good use forwarding this cause.
